Who is Dr Mark
'Dr Mark' Biddiss – formerly a gas-man turned space-scientist and lecturer – is now a Science & Maths Education Provider, Teacher Trainer and Writer.
He is listed on the GTC’s register of approved providers and for the last few years has been recognised by many who have seen him as one of the UK’s leading and sought after “inspirational” education providers to both teachers and pupils.
Dr Mark was co-founder and co-director of ProEducation Ltd, along with Dr Jasmine Pradissitto, which they started in 1996. Dr Mark was responsible for devising their highly popular ‘Amazing Magical Science’ and ‘Amazing MatheMagical’ shows and hands-on pupil workshops for 5 to 14 year olds, as well as their ‘INSPIREscienceTM’ and ‘INSPIREmathsTM’ teachers’ CPD days.
In the last ten years Dr Mark has visited hu
dreds of schools with his lively pupils’ shows and teachers’ CPD/INSET days. To date he has written six teachers’ resource books/CD-ROMs, based mostly on his shows and CPD/INSET, which are currently used by thousands of teachers across the UK and some overseas. His most recent title 'The Sound of Science' was commissioned by the Royal Albert Hall, London, UK. Dr Mark’s client list includes dozens of high-profile’clients and he is a regular invited speaker at numerous teachers’ conference events all over the UK, including the TES exhibitions. In 2006, Dr Mark was featured in a ‘Teachers TV’ documentary about his work with teachers & pupils.
